This language suggests that she had been married previously and was very likely the widow of William Rogers. She married William Rogers. He was shot in the chest and has lost some of his chest wall [ he thinks this is no big deal]. Steve served as a general's aide for most of the rest of his time. He worked for Omar Bradley (who's wife was attended Gilbert's and Beth's wedding). Steve, retired from the military and became a preacher at Seaside Church of Christ. James was born on 13 April 1932. He was the son of Nathaniel Stevenson and Grace Moten. He married Geneva Gloria Kelsey on 4 September 1962. He resided, in 1997.

Nathaniel was one of the veryh first black landowners in the South. The property called the Stevenson Farm is still owned by the family. Gilbert Stevenson's Uncle George and Magellan [Gel] still live there. Mostly the farm is leased out for crops. None of the kids are farmers: George is an engineer, Magellan, the oldest worked at the factory. Nathaniel Jr. lives in Greensborough. Charles was a nuclear physisist. He married Grace Moten.
